- Performing routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and washing floors, windows, walls, and furniture. Organizing and arranging items to ensure a neat and tidy appearance.
- Preparing rooms for guests or residents by making beds, changing linens, and ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked.
- Ensuring that bathrooms and kitchens are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, including scrubbing toilets, sinks, showers, and kitchen appliances. Trash disposal: Collecting and disposing of trash and recycling materials properly.
- Keeping track of cleaning supplies and household items, and informing the employer or supervisor when restocking is needed.
- Identifying and reporting any maintenance or repair issues within the property to ensure they are addressed promptly.
- Performing occasional deep cleaning tasks, such as carpet shampooing, upholstery cleaning, and window washing.
- Ensuring the security and privacy of the property and its occupants by following established protocols.
- Assisting guests with their needs, providing a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, and addressing any concerns they may have during their stay.
- Efficiently managing time to complete all cleaning tasks within a specified timeframe.
- Adhering to proper cleaning procedures and using appropriate cleaning agents to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. Maintaining order, sanitization, and cleanliness in the office especially in the kitchen. Helping with inventory management, food storage, and supply stocking Observing the rules and procedures for food safety and cleanliness Helping as necessary with the ordering and receipt of food and supplies Assisting with recipe creation and menu planning.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
It is essential that the post holder shows a good understanding and sympathy with Islamic Relief values and principles as well as commitment to Islamic Relief Worldwide vision, mission and core values.
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:
• An understanding of and commitment to Islamic Relief Relief\'s mission and values
• Must have knowledge about general office cleaning skills.
• Strong knowledge about procedures to maintain a clean hygienic office environment.
• Strong attention to detail in performing cleaning and organizing tasks.
• Good verbal communication skills to interact professionally with staff and official guests.
• Efficient time management skills to complete tasks within timeframes.
• Good understanding of Urdu and local language
• Must have knowledge of officer administration
• Demonstrated reliability and trustworthiness in maintaining the privacy and security of the office.
• Willingness to adapt to changing schedules and accommodate occasional special requests.
Experience/Education:
• Middle with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Desirable:
Relevant experience of working with humanitarian/development sector/INGOS Local will be preferred
Language:
Sindh, Urdu and local Languages.
