Education: Minimum CA (Pak)-Finalist / ACCA / CIMA / ICMA
Minimum Experience:
Overall 6 to 7 years’ experience in the relevant field (including 3.5 to 4 years’ experience in any of the Big Five Audit Firms in Pakistan).
Preference will be given to the candidate having relevant experience in Power Sector.
Age: 35 years (maximum)
Basic Skills:
Must have:
a. Advance knowledge of IFRSs & Companies Act, 2017
b. English communication and cross-cultural coordination skills for working in a foreign-invested environment
c. Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
d. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); ERP experience preferred.
Job Description
1. Foreign Exchange & Regulatory Affairs
- Prepare and process outward remittance approvals to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) under various vendor agreements.
- Handle loan repayment schedule registration and respond to SBP or bank queries.
- Ensure compliance with the Foreign Exchange Manual, related SROs, and SBP circulars.
- Submit quarterly and annual foreign investment surveys to SBP and maintain all related documentation.
2. Treasury & Financial Planning
- Assisting Manager in manging cash flows, including forecasts for surplus or shortfall.
- Prepare budgets, variance analysis, and cost verification for tariff filings.
- Assist in updating the Company’s Financial Model and related financial analyses.
3. Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements in accordance with IFRSs and Companies Act, 2017.
- Assisting the Manager in complying with lenders and the Sponsors’ reporting requirements under the relevant Agreements.
- Coordinate with auditors for annual audit completion and provide required documentation.
- Maintain accurate financial records and timely reports for management and sponsors.
4. Taxation & Accounting
- Oversee income tax and sales tax compliance, including review of returns and withholding obligations.
- Coordinate with tax advisors and authorities regarding notices, filings, and appeals.
- Maintain accounting ledgers, reconciliations, and supporting documents for tax and audit purposes.Stay updated on new tax laws, SROs, and regulatory amendments.
5. General & Support Functions
- Coordinate with SBP & HBL. Also, assisting in coordination with other stakeholders for operational and financial matters.
- Perform any special assignments or additional tasks as directed by the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Manager.
- Ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance in all financial transactions.
