Job Description (Field Accountant)

  •    Supervising day to day functions of branch accountants.
  •  Ensuring timely recording of transactions in all branches and regional office.
  •    Reviewing vouchers prepared by branch accountants.
  •    Reviewing cash books prepared by branch accountants.
  •  Reviewing fixed asset registers prepared by branch     accountants and update for regional Office.
  •  Preparing bank reconciliations of regional office bank accounts.
  •  Coordinating with Country Office finance and accounts function for fund management in the branches and regional office.
  • Record keeping of all financial transactions.

 

Required Skills

  •  Sound accounting concepts and knowledge.
  • Experience of working in an ERP environment
  •   Command over MS Excel
  •   Excellent interpersonal skills
  •  Good written and verbal communication skills

BRAC considers education a powerful tool for combating discrimination's, illiteracy and poverty. BRAC started 20 pre-primary schools in 2009 in NWFP's Haripur district. The schools now have more than 600 students, about 61% of them girls. BRAC also initiated a health program in 2009, with services in Punjab's Sahiwal and Pakpattan districts and NWFP's Nowshera district. The program trains local health workers and volunteers to provide basic health care and health education to families and communities.
