Job Description:

Background:  

RELIEF is a humanitarian program that is providing immediate assistance and early recovery support to displaced communities and their hosts in KP/FATA according to their needs and in coordination with other support and assistance mechanisms. RELIEF is managed by a consortium of three international NGOs (Hira public school - IRC, ACTED and HelpAge, supported by implementing partners on the ground.

Job Overview/Summary: Under the supervision of the Livelihoods Manager, the Cash transfer officer primary responsibility will be to support and assist IRC Pakistan RELIEF project in the distributions of cash to the project beneficiaries for TDPs in multiple districts of KPK.

Major Responsibilities:

1.       Support the livelihood manager in the implementation of the program activities related to the transfer of cash/vouchers/in-kind to the beneficiaries

2.       Support the field teams in the identification and assessments of the cash grant and other beneficiaries of the project

3.       Prepare payments sheets of the beneficiaries for payments through the banks or other distribution mechanisms

4.       Distribute project items to the project beneficiaries in the communities as a member of the livelihood team

5.       Keep records and manage documentation of all the transactions and related documents

6.       Keep track records of the payments

7.       Develop and share reports of the transactions to the senior managers 

8.       Compute and record totals of transactions

9.       Keep periodic balance sheets of amounts and numbers of transactions.

10.   Compile and maintain non-monetary reports and records.

11.   Any other assignment which is given by the Livelihood Manager

 Job Requirements:

Education: Master degree in social sciences, business, accounting, rural development or related fields

Work Experience:  At least 2 year of field related experiences in cash transfers with I/NGOs, Experience of working with mobile companies and banks for cash transfers with I/NGOs, Experience of working with livelihoods and cash transfer projects

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

1.      Ability to work as part of the team

2.      Strong analytical and conceptual skills

3.      Strong commitment to social justice, promoting gender awareness and equality

4.      Good community participation skills -  

5.      Ability and willingness to travel away from home and stay in the field

6.       Excellent computer skills in MS office specially spreadsheets

 Language Skills:    English, Urdu and local languages
