Job Description:

Assist in incident resolution, problem investigation, change assessments and service release deployments in accordance with the ITIL framework.

Liaising directly with clients to support a variety of environments and IT projects. Work with many technologies including operating systems, applications, servers, desktops, peripherals, infrastructure networks and telephone systems in a Managed Service environment.

Part of a global managed service desk team which operates 24/7 365 days per year. Will be required to work UK night and weekend shifts as part of an agreed rota.  Strong customer facing mentality. Plan and document technical specifications for complex projects impacting business critical production environments.

Ability to fit in and be flexible is required.

Essential Experience/ Skills matrix:

Technical Skills:

  • Windows Server 2008/20012/2016 - AD, GP, IIS, administration and Server Management
  • Exchange 2010/2013/2016 administration and mailbox management, MS Outlook
  • SQL 2008/20012/2014/2016 administration
  • Office 365 Migration
  • MS Office 2007/2010 product support
  • Hands on experience with Virtualization especially VMware Vsphere 6.5, Hyper-V 2012/2016
  • Working knowledge of networking devices, routers, switch and telephony systems
  • Enterprise Backup Solutions and Veeam backup technology knowledge
  • Knowledge of Cloud Services e.g. AWS or Azure

Qualifications:

  • Significant 2nd line support experience in an ITIL structured environment
  • Any Microsoft certification (MCSA/ MCITP/MCDST/MCTS) or ITIL would be highly desirable
