The position is responsible for providing tele counselling and Psycho-Social Support to persons and their families effected by COVID-19 under ‘Containing the spread of COVID-19 and strengthening existing capacities of health system in Pakistan’.

Main Responsibilities:

• Attend the detailed orientation/ training sessions arranged by SPO about the role, responsibilities and scope of project
• Provide consultation sessions through helpline number at SPO offices on daily basis
• Provide assessment and recommendations for appropriate treatments
• Diagnose mental, emotional, and behavioural disorders
• Review relevant literature, synthesize evidence-based materials, and translate complex behavioural health concepts
• Conduct case management and other administrative tasks as needed
• Provide referral services to outside therapists, clinics, and treatment facilities
• Recommend high and medium risk clients for emergency assistance and case management support
• Maintains digital data base of each client on daily basis
• Maintain data base of clients who have been referred for emergency assistance
• Follows the ethical principles of client safety and confidentiality and get consent while offering the services  
• Ensures Data-protection protocols to safeguard confidentiality and protect those registered from potential protection risks, including violence, discrimination, or stigma
• Ensure safety and security of documents/ assets handover to him/her for assigned task, in case of any loss or damage to asset he/she should immediately inform Regional Coordinator.
• Follow organizational policies and guidelines provided to him/her during orientation
• Psychologist will directly work under the supervision of Regional Coordinators.
